G20-Chief Science Advisers Roundtable (G20-CSAR)
August 2023
India Health Fund was a knowledge partner for the DRIIV: Delhi Research Implementation and Innovation led G20-Chief Science Advisers Roundtable (G20-CSAR) on “Role of Open Access in Equitable Climate & Action: Diseases, Health System Resilience, and Financing“ in Delhi.
The negative impact on health is the human face of the climate crisis. Weather pattern disruptions, heatwaves, floods, cyclones are directly altering trends of vector-borne diseases, heightening AMR, and increasing the risk of zoonotic disease transmission.
The side event initiated a dialogue between central ministries, state governments, private sector, academia, thought leaders and beyond as they discussed Open Access to data for better Climate Crisis adaptation and mitigation response, funding for research, programs, and projects on health-centric climate work.
